Talking Points

Smart organization and double-duty furniture are key players in this apartment's success.

A California native turned NYC reporter, Heather wanted to bring a little of home to her new Soho studio. Space saving was the key to success in this little apartment so we ditched the sofa and brought in a daybed instead. Double function! And adding stacked industrial wooden shipping pallets to the end of the bed allowed for clever shoe storage. Boho chic details like the mason jar lamp, distressed ladder and Ikat rug made the apartment feel very west coast while the chalkboard wall made the room fun and homey. The small space and small budget meant major creativity came into play but Heather’s space was truly transformed into a sunny and lovely city retreat.
