If a growing empire needs an office that reflects its worth, Megan Collins was ready for an upgrade. Before she called on us, the brains and beauty behind men’s lifestyle website Style Girlfriend was using an ottoman as a chair and a shelving unit as a desk. As a go-to lifestyle guru, she knew she needed to stop treating her business as a living room side project. After a revamp led by Homepolish designer Shelly, this blogger babe finally has a sophisticated, comfortable and functional in-home workspace!
Megan wanted a midcentury vibe without referencing “Mad Men” too much, so Shelly picked out furnishings that paired 50s silhouettes with contemporary fabrics, like the amazingly comfortable desk chair from West Elm. The original shelf was was replaced with a super organizing Urbio unit, and Shelly reached out to the guys at Recycled Brooklyn to build Megan’s dream desk. An accent wall was painted a beautiful deep navy, hot pink details (like the antlers and the artwork from Vango) added the perfect feminine pop and the plants from The Sill kept the space feeling fresh. Appropriate to her blog’s message, Megan’s official home office is stylish, practical and productivity-inducing.

My new space reflects so perfectly what my work is all about. With the combination of the navy wall and its new, pink accents, it’s a perfect and perfectly grown up mix of masculine and the feminine.- Megan Collins, Style Girlfriend, Homepolish client
