Holiday cheer starts right at the entryway with a tinsel peace wreath and festive sprigs of pine.

With the help of greenery and strategically placed props (hello, skis!), the Los Angeles condo suddenly has the air of a wintry lodge.

And we're allllll about that tree! Pretty sure Santa himself is taking notes from Orlando.

The key for the tree is to choose a consistent color scheme.

Just look at that detail! We're getting some major visual stimulation.

And can we talk about this gingerbread house? It looks like Orlando plucked it right from a fairytale.

He even made caramelized sugar windows! Who DOES that?

Hey, if you're too lazy to hang ornaments, put them in a bowl. They'll still look festive, and no one will call you lazy. We promise.

And no wintry lodge home would be complete without some cozy throws to keep warm.

We're ready to gather 'round this table and help ourselves to gingerbread, egg nog, peppermints, fudge... we're just waiting on our invite.

And can we take a moment to gawk at these shelves. It's literally all we want for Christmas. Pretty sure that's what Mariah was singing about.

Who says you can't decorate a cactus coat hanger with twinkle lights? Not us. We have no objections.

And even the bedrooms weren't forgotten. Little touches of greenery and mini trees popped up to bring on the cheer.

Our West Coast creative director Orlando Soria may live in Los Angeles, but that didn't stop him from turning his condo into an absolute winter wonderland. See the full home tour!

Over the last couple weeks, Homepolish has been releasing holiday design guides from our West Coast creative director Orlando Soria. But you’re in for a treat! Here, we’ve compiled a full home tour of his Los Angeles condo (aka ORCONDO), or what could easily be mistaken as the North Pole. There’s so much holiday cheer we also can’t stand it. Almost.
First of all, let’s talk about that incredible Christmas tree! Orlando bought a 17-foot giant from Wayfair this year, and it has us wishing we ALL had beautifully lofted ceilings. The true centerpiece of his holiday décor, it’s fashioned in a gleaming Scandinavian theme, complete with little wooden figurines and paper horses. Oh, and gingerbread. REAL gingerbread… that we’re dying to eat.
Of course, festive natural elements didn’t stop at the tree (which, if you couldn’t tell, was artificial). Orlando went through the entire home and added greenery to bring warmth to the space. Sprigs of pine and fragrant eucalyptus branches enlivened every corner, and we’re especially in love with the forest on his living room credenza where his gingerbread house sits.
Design is all in the details, so once Orlando finished the foundational greenery, he laid out a gorgeous holiday tablescape. Instead of going for the traditional red and green, he off-set the theme with fuchsia peonies and layered in pops of holiday sparkle (not to mention little miniature Santas for place card holders). It’s the perfect setting for holiday hosting (to give your guests a touch of design envy).
The table is surrounded by perfectly styled shelves. Orlando walked us through the basics of shelf styling, tips which could honestly work year-round. It’s making us want to rearrange everything from our books to those little knick knacks.
