For a new-build house constructed in the style of Hamptons vacation homes, Homepolish's Katherine Carter layered in glitz and glamour for a decidedly LA chic look.

When Kate and Brian Boone first purchased their home in Los Angeles, it was a bare-bones new build in the style of the Hamptons. Bleached blond wooden floors, white-painted rafters, and windows everywhere with sunlight streaming into the home. It was gorgeous, but it didn’t quite fit in with the Hollywood area. Or the couple’s aesthetic for that matter. Proudly residents of LA, they wanted more glitz, more glamour, and honestly, more drama.
Cue Homepolish’s Katherine Carter on the set. Known for her stunning and elegant style, such as this Tudor Revival, she was the perfect leading lady to take the home from East Coast beach getaway to properly Los Angeles chic. The couple’s main ask: introducing patterns and textures into the space but without losing the level of sophistication.
Wallpapers from Walnut Wallpaper (an LA staple) were the first step to setting the scene. More texture comes through upholstery, such as two accent chairs in a Missoni-esque pattern, and sheepskin covered pillows and poufs. Gold finishes on the lighting and accents make it all the more captivating. All we can say is… the home is ready for it’s close up.
