Moving from London to NYC, Tina needed her new apartment to feel homey ASAP. Colors and furnishings that remind her of home make this space feel perfectly lived in.

When Tina called Homepolish looking for a designer, she was in London prepping for her move to NYC. With no furniture but an idea of the color scheme she wanted, Tina was set up with our designer Evelyn Lee to make her dream space come true from across the pond. Evelyn managed to incorporate all of Tina’s favorite colors (red, blue, yellow, and green) without making the high, sunny apartment feel like a kid’s room. Not an easy task! Keeping the colors separate in their own areas is key. Chic patterns keep the design grown-up and a neutral balance is achieved with the sofa, coffee table and rug. The bedroom’s chevron accent wall is a fun but not overpowering design idea (if it were on all four walls it might actual prevent restful sleep – not what you want in a bedroom). All in all, Evelyn turned this empty one bedroom into a home fit for a new expat in 20 hours.
