With decorative elements like a refurbished wood wall, very cool rugs and intern art, the LMP offices are cool, comfortable and not in the least bit cookie cutter.

The trend in office design today is a full 180 turn away from the traditional cubicle and fluorescent lighting field of older, yonder years. For Little Moving Pictures – a video and film production company based in San Francisco – their design preferences involved a lot of sofas and comfortable, collaborative spaces. With their designer Heidi, they developed a cozy layout that felt more like home than work so that clients and employees alike can feel relaxed. When she was hired, the office was totally bare – no wall coverings, no walls, no furniture – but now the space has a great mix of new and vintage furniture, textures, art and soft lighting. It’s the perfect place to relax, take meetings, collaborate on projects and just generally move around in. Nothing feels restrained or stuffy and the team loves coming in to work every day. Even the intern with the photography hobby has photos on the wall! Like their own work, there’s nothing cookie cutter about Little Moving Pictures office.
