Lorenzo worked his Homepolish design magic on this blank canvas. Adding texture, subtle shades and great lighting, the hair studio came to life as a beautiful, functional space for clients and staff alike.

So we’ve designed offices, homes, pop-up shops and retail stores but now we can officially add “hair salon” to our list. Hannah Choi’s SOL Studios already offered the full range of excellent hair services, but now they do it all in an amazing, relaxing space. Hannah had a clear idea of what she wanted: stylish, sophisticated, calm, bright and spa-like, so when she met with Homepolish designer Lorenzo it took only a few conversations to work out the details.

Lorenzo had two major alterations: One was to switch the receptionist’s lighting for these amazing hanging bulbs. The second was to add the slightly metallic and brightening wallcovering behind the desk, adding serious glam. Then he changed the paint. Once a stark white, the salon’s walls were repainted a very soft, warm gray that toned down the harshness of the space and created a cozier, inviting vibe. Now you can get your hair masterfully styled and leave feeling beautiful and calm, inside and out.

By painting the walls a very light gray we made the huge space feel more inviting and cozy (and less office-like), while still feeling sleek and bright.
