In the Redondo Beach area, Homepolish designer Jennifer Wallenstein made a sun-washed escape for the Narain family that is absolutely breathtaking.

When Kim Narain approached Homepolish about helping with her Redondo Beach home redesign, she already had a particular vision in mind. She wanted to reflect her coastal locale but with subtly, bringing a contemporary spin on the classic California beach theme. She already had a contractor working away in the home, installing new hardwood flooring and refinishing the work around the fireplace. Designer Jennifer Wallenstein arrived at the home, ready for the task. That’s when she found out she only had two months to completely furnish the home and make it move-in ready.
Staying within a light and neutral color scheme, the two let beach vibes wash over the home, but without incorporating the obvious shells and photographs of waves. Saturated rugs are reminiscent of nautical signal flags. Accent pieces of furniture and some walls are in seafoam green and blue hues. The dining table is pieced together from reclaimed wood, and the final piece has a look akin to driftwood. And of course, the framework of the house is incredible – just check out those exposed beams! All in all, a perfect retreat for the family of three.
Working with Jennifer was a pleasure. She took my ideas and transformed them into something beyond my imagination, while still managing to capture and reflect the essence of our family.- Kim N., Homepolish client
