Transforming a powder room into a proper guest bedroom bathroom is no easy feet, but Homepolish's Lindsay Pincus pulled it off with flair.

At Homepolish, it’s no secret that we swoon over beautiful, white bathrooms. There’s something so serene about the monochromatic color scheme, practically evoking that favorite of bath time adjectives “squeaky clean.” So when Homepolish’s Lindsay Pincus was called in by return client Maria Wallace to handle a powder room conversion, you wouldn’t be surprised where she drew her inspiration.

The only thing Maria specified was that she wanted cement tiling. The rest of the project was a blank slate. Since the space was close to the guest room, they wanted to expand the space into a proper 3/4 bathroom. Some minor renovations borrowed space from the guest closet to make room for a shower. Then, came everyone’s favorite part: choosing finishes! Following Maria’s one request, Lindsay sourced cement tile. But not just any old composite… a beautiful encaustic tile in a Bordeaux pattern. To complement the floors, subway tile lined in black grout covers the shower enclosure. For a final design flourish, lighting and hardware from Kohler were specified in a polished brass. Talk about luxury.
