"Casey was great at purchasing inexpensive items and making them functional and good-looking. Our employees love the new office so much that they now stay after hours."
When VHX expanded from six to sixteen employees in their Brooklyn office, they needed help maximizing every inch of office space. Noted for their groundbreaking platform that lets artists sell their own work directly to their fans without rights restrictions, VHX wanted to create a versatile space that also represented the retro spirit of the brand.
“We wasted a lot of time trying to design it ourselves—it was never cohesive,” co-founder Casey Pugh says. After searching in vain for solutions, Pugh’s friends, Mallory Blair and Bianca Caampued (co-founders of Small Girls PR), suggested they try Homepolish. It was time to call in the pros.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Homepolish designer Casey got straight to work, developing stylish (and budget-friendly) solutions to their existing office woes. She installed breakout areas for work and play, bike storage and a dedicated space to view films. Arranging displays of video games, vintage movie posters and cameras made the office feel quirky and fun—just like the employees. The most popular feature? A show-stopping palm print accent wall, covered in wallpaper Pugh customized with the VHX logo. “We really liked the idea of a plant wall without the maintenance,” he says. Their new office brings out the vintage vibe that is the cornerstone of their brand—and totally radiates Brooklyn cool.
