Get to know Sean
This Omaha native was artistically inclined from an early age, always involved in things like painting, ceramics, and woodworking, just to name a few. He used to borrow his architect great-grandfather’s old blueprints to modify the designs, draw elevations, and find perspectives of his own. This affinity for art and design led him to New York to attend Pratt Institute, where he earned a BFA in interior design.
Before starting his own practice, he worked for several established firms such as IBI Group (one of the top 10 largest design and architecture firms in the world), Robert Nassar Design, and Victoria Kirk Design. Since, he has had vast experience in retail and commercial design, executing projects ranging from Nicole Miller boutiques to a high-end, modern investment firm. He has also had his hands in residential design, working with both low-budget, small spaces and large-budget, luxury homes. A few prominent addresses Sean has worked on include 15 Central Park West, 106 Central Park South, and 20 Pine Street. Sean believes that a well-designed environment should spark intrigue and stimulate the senses. He strives for beauty, but emphasizes that there is much more to beauty than just aesthetics. As he says, “Good design—functionally, aesthetically and ergonomically—promotes a better quality of life.”
Sean has worked with clients in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. In addition to his clients, Sean founded an organization called Design Exchange, which gifts interior design services, and new furniture to New Yorkers and NYC Organizations in need.
How I can help you
Sean pulled together many different options and worked closely with us to refine them down to a design that worked perfectly for us. Since the design was implemented on a fresh space, our teammates were blown away by the new office when they walked in. Originally, we were in a co-working space and were all divided up by teams–tech, marketing, etc. The ability to walk into an open floor plan and easily see everyone on our team, has really been impactful and exciting for everyone.
