Get to know Ross

Ross was raised in both the Philadelphia and greater-New York City areas. Throughout his teen years, he moved residences several times, and it gave him an awareness of how profoundly interior design can affect one’s life. A self-proclaimed pop culture junkie, he spent much of his childhood exploring creative pursuits like interior and fashion design, as well as performing, fine arts, and even circus acrobatics. Focusing in on interiors, he landed at New York's Parsons School of Design. During his time in school, he worked for fashion houses, doing jobs such as textile sourcing, runway production, and creative consulting. His work in fashion was a natural stepping stone into the interior design world.

Having grown up with a mother and grandmother who practiced interior design professionally, Ross is proud to build on the legacy of his family. He often remembers the kinesthetic art of the homes he grew up in (such as the tactile sensation of textural upholstery or the slickness of a stone tabletop). This continues to influence how he puts rooms together today. Ross honed his skills working for acclaimed interior designers in Manhattan before branching out on his own in 2015. A cornerstone of Ross’s design philosophy is the fusion of contrasting elements. New meets old, luxury marries comfort, and modernity is complemented by a keen eye for tradition. In projects throughout New York, Ross has crafted his signature “thoughtful and artful interiors” that respect and elevate the taste of his clients while inviting users to sensually engage in their environment. Most important to him, he designs homes where his clients will build memories for years to come.

Ross, our designer, was extremely thorough and listened carefully to our concerns. I felt that he understood what we wanted and what our family needed.

I could NOT be happier. Ross and I are in sync. I totally trust his design input. He's done a good job (in a short time) of discerning my tastes. With his guidance, I have purged what I needed to get rid of, and I have purchased a number of big items. You did a wonderful job of matching us.

Ross was fabulous and I am so glad I had a chance to work with him. He was organized, responsive, creative, and collaborative and I think we also had a great time together! He was really a delight.

Overall, I am thrilled with my “new” apartment and feel I got a good value for the money I spent with Homepolish. And again, Ross was just terrific.

We had an amazing experience with Homepolish! Homepolish paired us with Ross Cooper and he was instrumental in marrying our vision of coastal meets minimalist decor. He helped us select paint for our whole apartment. We have so many unique pieces of furniture and décor that we wouldn't have found on our own. Ross has an amazing design sense and a keen attention to detail. He was fun to work with and we trusted his opinion. Ross is knowledgeable beyond his years of experience. We highly recommend Homepolish and Ross Cooper.
